Can somebody explain what this is exactly good for? i read on some dudes web page that its for relic huntin for stuff bigger than a coin and deeper than a foot? if so-well that almost sounds like the eqivilent of 1 a them two/box detectors? The manual dont talk about this much. anyone know? If that statement is true i would like to go look for cannon balls and war shells but when i try 'stat' i heard all kinds of beeps every where and dont think it was all foot deep big junk was it?.

The manual does not really talk MUCH about anything. Most of it is pretty vague if you ask me.
I am a newbie to this machine so take this with a grain of salt, but the STAT mode makes the machine a non-motion all metal machine. To me this means that you can move it incredibly slowly and be more attentive those extremely faint deep signals. I am kind of shooting in the dark here so someone correct me if I am wrong.

but some dude named the general said it dont read coin size objects and only sees 12" deep big stuff. That was really what I was wondering about.

You would think that when you spend almost $1000.00 for a machine you wouldn't have to wait and spend another %30.00 for someone to write a book telling you how to make it work properly .02

Yeah, I agree. The equipment that I design is extremely complicated and the users manual is huge. We have people on staff that do nothing except documentation. I would think that First Texas, or any company that sells a technologically advanced piece of equipment, would do the same.
Look at it from a financial standpoint. The F75 may be very different when comapred to the T2 in terms of technology, but the shaft, control box, battery compartment, arm cup and coil are exactly the same in terms of mechanical design and manufacture.
To me this means that First Texas did not have a lot of spool up expense for design/tooling. They mereley changed the color on some of their parts, added whatever electronic or software/firmware changes and voila a new detector with a $1000.00 price tag. You would think that they could have put a few of those saved dollars into a more complete manual.
At least that is the way I see it.
