The 6x10 is a great coil and you will love it. For $99.00 you got a deal. HH Dennis in Idaho

$99 Sweeeeeeeet! You made a good choice.

The 6"x10" is a great coil especially when the ground is mineralized and will provide better overall target separation and depth is pretty good too.I think you would find it more useful for general purpose hunting than the 12" coil. Just my thoughts of course. Nice choice.HH Bill

thats what i use on my mxt 90% of the time. alot more stable than the factory coil. ( DD ) but remember a DD coil pinpoints of the TIP.

Gerry just lives down the road a piece from me. I bought a minelab detector from Gerry along with a few coils, and a DX-1 probe. He is great to do business with. I highly recommend him. HH Dennis in Idaho

Bill, I had a 6x10 on a DFX and I loved it. I did not notice any difference in depth with the 9.5 coil. I could work it through trash better than the stock coil due to it's linear footprint. I think it was like all DD coils, made for mineralized ground, but I found it to be a better all around coil than the stock one. After I sold the detector and coil, the fellow I sold it to had trouble with the detector. Turns out the 6x10 coil was bad. I bought that coil used and if it was bad, I wasn't aware of it. You should love it. R.L.

Bill,

Thanks for this post!
I have been wanting to increase my stock of coils and with this message I also got to the source you went to for your 6X10. I just bought a 6X10,4X6 and 5.3. I don't know anything about them but was toying as to which one I could buy. Well I bought them all. Saving big time! I've had my MXT for about three months and with work have not gotten out as much as I wanted but at least I'm getting out some and besides it's too hot anyway. Can't wait for it too cool down some.

By the way, one of the best finds I'll ever make I found in the Midland/Odessa area of Texas in a Piggly Wiggly Super Market parking lot. It is "The Eyes of Texas" 14K gold pendant and it had been run over a few times. It's about 1/8th inch thick, hand wrought and the eyes were carved from the surface with lashes and held two perfect diamonds. It is very beautiful. I love it. Actually I would still love to find the owner to return it but it's been about 27 years since I was there.
