Show me your stuff here is mine:detecting::crazy:

I couldn't believe it til I actually saw it. I have been a die hard Minelab Explorer guy since 2003 and he found some bullets and asked me to see if I could find them with my SE. He marked off an area about 6' square and told me to find it. I set my machine a bunch of different ways but could not hear that bullet to save my life! He then dug the bullet up pulling the dirt out a little at a time. He was down over a foot and I was thinking to myself that there's no way that bullets down that deep. He then exposed a minie ball still stuck in the hard dry packed dirt at about 16"s deep. I couldn't believe it!! :surprised: Then he dug some more at similar depths. Needless to say I now have two 6000 PRO XL machines. The trick is that these deep bullets don't give a normal tone or ID on the meter, they merely just barely break the threshold tone and the needle barely floats away from iron. I now am faced with the challenge of training my ear to hear those faint changes in threshold while watching the needle.

That what i started doing this year working with the threshold just peaking deep but get low reading.using 5.3 coil buried some coins 7 inches and a little deeper was getting a little tone in mix mode but id wasn't accurate but will break threshold a little deeper but hard to say what it is trying to work that out. This was a fool er to thought i would get a better signal by reducing the bottle cap reject but i didn't was getting a better signal with it at 4 or 5 have to work on that to.

Just another normal weekend here in Calif. Before long you guys back east will be kicking our butts with the cool old finds.
My finds from this weekend, nothing great, just a bunch of clad.
Using my V3 with the 4x6 and 6x10 coils in my C&J program.

Iam running xlt e mix mode voc on and it kind of like listening to prospecting mode on mxt you here a peak in threshold as soon as you go over something deep but some is to deep for the machine to identify so iam trying to work that out so i don't dig a bunch of junk sometimes you catch a tone and then it draws your attention.
