Well with the rain, the weeds and planted fields relic hunting has slowed down for me.Still have a couple of construction sites to work. So, to pass the time I thought I would share with you all. These finds came from a Union camp outside of Emmitsburg,MD. Again, when I went here for the first time it had been hunted for about 4 years, yep, another one of those "hunted out spots".Enjoy!

Howdy reics4plus

Nice collection ya got there! I like to find relics, but in my part of the country (south central Ks.) the civil war type finds are few and far between. HH.............Hombre

Those are great. Of all the stuff I have found I have never found a cleaner bullet much less a belt plate. Those are purty...d2

hi relics4plus! i see you've been up around the old emmitsburg road that was heavily marched by thousands of troops of both sides. you've also got a very nice collection of relics there too. i really get a kick out of people saying that a spot has been "hunted out!" some of my best finds came from places like that. i think them ol' boys tell us that to keep us away. but i'm still tryin' to catch up to you, vol1266, olddigger, d2, dman, and i hunt relics! and several others on here! i reckon if i live and hunt long enough i just might come close. maybe. man, i've seen so many nice relics from all of you, and appreciate it. thanks, all. hh,

Very nice collection of relics there. There is no such thing as a hunted out spot. What kind of detector do you use? I know with my Nautilas 11b, any time it rains or the ground gets tilled, those hunted out spots become new ground. Keep Digging

This spot is along Creamery Road, just East of Emmitsburg. Can't hunt it anymore, property was sold. Actually, shouldn't say can't hunt it anymore, I tried to get permission again last year and just could not touch base with the present owners which is Mason Dixon farms near Gettysburg.

man, i hope you got $20,000+ for that rare 2 piece...talked today to a very well known collector, and he said the same thing bout it. great collections
