Fred...I have found out about a Drive In movie theater in the Cleveland area that closed in 2000, opened in 1953. I drive by there often as my son has baseball workouts nearby it. I went there last night. It is now owned by the city, who plans on demolishing it for industrial expansion. There are no "no trespassing" signs, and the gate is open. I walked in and there's a great big old steel playground. I had just dropped the coil down and it went off. I dug up a wheatie and had to leave (son was waiting in the van)
Needless to say, it is in a kinda-bad neighborhood, but I would bet money it has NOT BEEN TOUCHED by MD at all.
This is a place I think would be better to check out with someone else, not alone. Playground area is heavily overgrown but doable.
Interested? I can send you a link to a website with a ton of pics of the playground and concession area.
