Should I trade mysidewinder u-max for a silver u-max or a silver sabre u-max?

I love my sidewinder but it seems not to go that deep. It does hit hard on clad coins and non ferrous items without
a doubt.I use this machine for high trash areas and in the iron but it just does'nt seem to run deep. I use a t**y 9"
coil. Do I need a different coil or am I better off going with a silver sabre u-max or a silver u-max? Don't get me wrong, this machine finds goodies but not deep. It has a clean bill of health from Tesoro and a new 8" brown coil. I love hunting in the iron but just need something a little deeper. This machine hits hard on targets!!! I have a golden u-max which I do find silver in the iron with, but I'm using that machine for it's notching purposes to find gold rings with... Any help from you knowledgeable guys is deeply appreciated!!! Or do I keep it and just get another machine? Thanks a million for any help you guys supply...

i still have my sidewinder and a few of the newer tesoros and i would not trade it for anything.i love my cortes but the side winder is a beautiful coin hunter too.put it up for sale or trade and watch how fast it goes.

would still like to know if I can get a few more inches with
a silver u-max or a silver sabre u-max to maybe hit the deeper silver
that's masked in with the iron? Any help from anyone is appreciated!!!
Thanks much... I know the sidewinder is a coin killer or anything high
in conductivity with low discrimination really rings out!!!
Thanks again,

... If a target is "MASKED BY IRON" then the masking effects might cause it to respond as if a lower-conductivity targets, but quite often not respond at all due to the shallower iron masking the desired deeper target.

How high the rejection is set above the point where the troublesome iron is just discriminated will also add to the masking effects a great deal.

When shallow iron targets are the challenge, you either use a smaller-than-stock coil and work in and around the iron and/or you remove as much iron as you can and carefully re-check the site.

Your a man who has much knowledge with these Tesoro machines...
I've read many, many of your posts which are excellent. I'm a new comer
to Tesoro in the last 8 months and I'm really liking these machines.I have
a golden u-max and a sidewinder u-max as you already know that but
I am putting away my other top end machine for a while to try
and learn
about these Tesoros!!!! Thanks for your advice and I'll be following
this forum for a while. Happy Hunting...

Monte, you're right. Masking is more a problem around old homesteads and the like. After reading your posts on masking I've started to hunt these sites with the disc set on iron. Trying to listen to every hit. Digging most of the signals that sound a little good. Thanks again. Hope you finish the book soon.

If its a high trash area, as you mentioned, I might try a smaller coil.
I might add the Silver (just me, and I actually picked up a Silver today), and would still keep that Sidewinder. But thats just me.
