Should I buy a GTP1350??:confused:

Since before buying my Ace 250 a year ago, I wondered if I shouldn't have bought the GTP 1350 instead. Don't get me wrong, the Ace is my favorite detector. Just wondering what some opinions might be.

I've heard it two ways:

Of course upgrade and keep the Ace as your back up unit.
and
Unless you just can't live without the Profiling feature of the GTP1350, you're just as well off with the Ace 250.

I'm open for any and all opinions.

Basically - if you can't live without the profiling. And I have an extra 1350 I would part with. Also I field tested the prototypes and production models for both of these detectors. Aside from the extra features on the 1350 you ain't going to find much more with it than you would with the 250. Ask John why he leaves the house more often with the 250 rather than one of his other machines. THat's my opinion and you'll probably get some to the contrary. Don't get infected with the old " I shoulda" disesaes.

Brrrrrrr...It's my winter machine. Spring gets the GTI 2500 out again.

Hey John,
I'm going to have the new chip installed on my 2500 and check it out to see what difference there is, then I'll let everyone know. We have some black sand river beaches here I want to check out with it.

Going to consider your information and what I got at other forums to make a decision. One thing for sure, though, the Ace250 isn't going anywhere; I love it Just so darn simple to use and it gets the goods

Yeah the 1350 just gives you more toys to play with. Check out my pic of the tiny little wire the 250 barked on at over five inches down.
