Bad word, it doesn't exist, it was all a dream, one we remember.
One day Tesoro may give us something just to shut us up...LOL
Maybe in 20 years when we are too old and rolling around in wheelchairs,
sure can curse them out for waiting so long............

They say there is always hope..............

I have gone ahead and settled the dilemna-got another company's technology. In their defense, there's still situations when my 3 Tesoros are the go to detector. Their company motto precludes any further technology advancements with the choice to keep simple, affordable, yet effective detectors. And if they couldn't reso!ve a problem with a parts issue on the Golden you should not expect any further advancements in technology. The Tejon and perhaps the Lobo are the pinnacle of their technology. And the Compadre is the most amazing detector for the price. It finds stuff some others miss.

I know guys I'm not trying to be a cage rattler.... Really I'm not ! And why call tesoro ? With all the social media and sites like this.... I will use my many tesoro's with love and adventure as I would with or without a Caz..... But man with a rockin name like cazador I get all warm and runny ! I did contact tesoro and sent Nathan a cool present to his office with hope of some sort of response....I never got a thank you or a droped line of lint. OK so no big deal I wasn't expecting much....My best and rarest finds come from Tesoro metal detectors....How about a 7th regiment revolutionary war button pewter turit back......hey tesoro your Vaquero found me the one and only pewter fugio cent....I have read about them in books but never seen one for sale or one in photos any where on the web...so guys feast your eyes on the one any only pewter fugio in existence on the web in the most horrible condition ! Hey check out my video from 2010 with almost 600,000 views with no ads......90% of this video finds were with a Tesoro Cibola.....what a fine machine....
Thank You all

Enjoyed the video! Just curious about the depth of the Cibola since it doesn't have a g/b adjustment? Also, since I have the Ace 250 in my arsenal, what were some of the finds with it? I almost got a Cibola and for some reason one of our sponsors sites did not interact with my debit card and for some reason I could not get my emails thru! It was a thing that had never happened before and I ended up buying from another of our fine sponsors where I fell in love with another detector. Strange episode that was never understood.

Depth on the cibola is just alittle shy of the vaquero. I was getting buttons and coins up to the 8" Mark. The gold pendant was a solid 8" with a smooth tone. The ace is close on depth with the cibola, I sold the ace to by brother n law and boy the coins and Relics he has found with that would piss off anyone off. Him and that ace 250 just connected so good together. I have good ground here in new Hampshire so not having gb wasn't a deal breaker. I liked the tone alot better on the cibola over the vaquero.

Yes....of course there are factors....target conductivity, ground noise and coil size but at the end of the day there is no huge difference. Stock coil vs stock coil its close. Now the cibola will hit harder on small gold at a greater depth. I would say that's where you would see the biggest difference.

Thanks. I know this probably should be on another forum, but I saw the chance to ask an unbiased Tesoro user like myself and I'm glad to know your in law had as much luck as I have had.

what did I hear them called "luddites" so I agree where is there to go with knobs and switches?? make custom machines for people which I think they will do if you have the cash, but I also read a good tech person is needed and there are not many detector tech people most of the smart people in this field are off making a whole heap more money in other areas ph's. computers etc.. look at what your smart ph can do in such a small space, theres no money in making detectors and a pile in ph's and software ...

so who knows what they are doing I don't care have what I need from them and yep they work so??????

anyway something's going on there they are still in business so time will tell !!

I think I seen an ep of diggers looking for one of those coins pretty rare well done on that find and with the humble Cibola , yes nice detector ! found me some nice finds over the years !!

nothing wrong with Tesoro's they do what they were designed to do what else can we ask for :bouncy:
