I got the sharpshooter coil and was fairly happy with it , but it turns out it has a badd connector , and will false and gets a diminished signal kinda ticks me off not going to bother fighting with returning it but i am done with other coils and going to stick with Tesoro coils form the now on . be ware

+1

I had a NEL coil go on me , emailed the guy and sent it back, I paid for that, they sent me a new one no dramas , so maybe 30 $ to send it back get a new one !! I would anyway.

NO sending them back is like dealing with an insurance company i am giving it away to someone who can fix it and use it . if I get another it will be the 7" widscan by Tesoro

that's a good plan too as long as someones getting some use out of it

yeah I use all Tesoro coils except for a NEL 12 x 13 4 pin , one of the 1st ones its crazy deep like wow deep in bench testing 18" on a dime size target with the Vaquaro which is madness only use on the beach dry sand or if I know there is real deep silver in easy ground.

so yes Tesoro make good coils for their machines no 2 ways about it.

let us know how the 7" goes?

AJ

Gunnar ,if you can take the connector apart just cut the wire and reattach,
just do not sorder I remember what happened the last time you tried that:rofl:
But if you decide to sell it let me know I think it would work good on my old Golden Sabar 2.

I know I am not going to try a soder job again, I have already given the coil away to someone who can fix it and use it . I have the new tesoro coil on the way that will replace the sharpshooter . I remember my Sov GT was acting up and i remedied that with a hammer . but i should not have as it was only a loose battery holder . i have had few problems with tesoro detectors and coils I remember I got a used Golden Umax and i mean that thing was put thru the ringer a few times it was all scratched and beat up the coil was chipped and cracked and it still worked. one thing about the NEL coils is the cables are heavy and hard unlike Tesoroes that are playable and light . Kinda makes me value tesoro much better

What kind of coil did you order to replace the nel.

the new 8x11 DD by tesoro 5 pinhead to sell a few things to get it .

have had four different NEL coils and yet to have a bad one . Not saying it cant happen but if it was in the connector I would think this could happen to any manufacture's coils , JMHO though

I thought it was good , but I wonder how good it would have been if the connector was on par .
