Short Sword Scabbard Tip??

[attachment 12900 MVC-009S.JPG][attachment 12901 MVC-010S.JPG]Any ideas?? It is about 3 1/2" long. It is in bad condition and has what appears to be a flower? design on it. Any comments would be appreciated.
 
Doesn't match any of the short sword scabbard tips I have encountered as most of them are one piece (no soldered finial). The flower design would point to civilian manufacture. Maybe someone will recognize what it goes to. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
