Short search with the Sovereign

Last Sunday was a nice spring day got out for a short search.Had my S-1 probe off, which had my remote pin-pointer switch attached so this was mounted back in place. On my farm time goes by too quick, fences, and other chores have to take priority, but at the end of the day had enough time to drive to a near by park. The one thing I appreciate with the Sovereign it will still pull a lot of finds out of over worked parks. My goal that day was to dig lower tone/ID targets to find some nice gold.Dug a lot of deep tabs,I used the Garrett Pin pointer most of the time, but if a signal was lost with a deep target I switched to the S-1 and found the signal again. It was getting late so I started cherry picking 180/145 + or - 2.With a couple of 180 targets recovered a deep Lincoln and a 1951 wheat.Got a 145 no bounce very smooth, which I thought was going to be my first gold this turned out to be a very deep 1928 Buffalo nickle.Nice search, good to get out in the park and start my metal detecting season.HH Ron

Sounded like a good day to be out, Congrads on the 26 buff, hard to find a date on those guys most of the time..

With cheaper gas, maybe a trip to a park I haven't searched. Its always good to find the older coins, most Buffalo nickels I find have no dates. Thanks Ron
