.......Is the cup. They get too hot in the summer here in South Carolina. Who makes an equal headphone that is more open, and less "steamy?"

running a tejon . only 37 here today and my head was sweating around the phones. might be a problem this summer . but your ears dont get cold.

I find that once using quality headphones detecting, I won't want it any other way. I always use headphones, and yes they can get hot in the summer, but I won't hunt without them. I take a spare just in case something happens to one.

I agree with tab-nabit 100%. I won't detect without good phones and I usually have a spare, just in case. So far I've never needed a spare, I guess that's another advantage of using good phones. The use of decent headphones really puts you at one with your detector.
