Short hunt yields some goodies today

I've been in class for some on job training the last couple of days and got out a little early this afternoon, so decided to hit a small lot nearby where a house had recently been torn down.
Got quite the surprise as not expecting to find this at this site.... just goes to show you never know what might be in a given area until you try it.
The only problem is there is alot of junk in there from the demolition, plus aluminum cans, bottle caps, and various other trash, but it is worth it when you find some of these!!
The bell I found the other day at another site and forgot about it when I dumped my junk finds, so I went back this afternoon and retrieved it before the weather comes in this weekend.
After I cleaned it, I noticed some numbers and letters on the back and after some more cleaning, I found it to a pat. date... actually two pat. dates: OCT 24 76 & MAY 14 78. I'm assuming they are 1876 and 1878.
Any help on what this bell came off of will be greatly appreciated.
I have seen some found and posted, but this is the first one for me.
Thanks for looking,
Felix
