Short hunt yesterday with the CTX3030 6" coil

Got out yesterday and hunted a park with a section of heavy nails. Pulled a few keepers by going really slow and checking every high/medium tone.

The goodies.

Sash buckle/slider? Strange design on it.

1922 Wheat Cent.

Religious medallion, stamped "Italy" but it's aluminum.

Also pictured is some clad and modern junk.

With the 6" coil it's pretty easy to find modern dimes/quarters/loonies, etc. They give a warbley sound when you pass over them, very different from bottlecaps.

Can you post a clip of this? I have been battling sound over VDI for bottle caps since I purchased the machine.

Sure hopefully this weekend, it's raining again.

Hey if that wheat cent is really a 1922 penny (and it does not have a "D" mint mark below the date), then it is a rare date cent and can be worth hundreds of dollars. Check it again and don't clean it !!!

Nice recoveries from the nails! And thanks for the tips regarding the Canadian clad coins. I know I've seen a lot of questions on forums regarding how specific detectors ID Canadian coins. Sounds like you've got a system figured out! Thanks for the post. HH Randy
