Zilch in the iron patch. But added experience with the controls was gained. The threshold is the trigger for depth and its relationship with the silencer is what will smooth out the signal . I want to hear the threshold when I hunt but just barely. What some users may find difficult is how the detector responds to different soil types. If you have no clue about your ground minerals and targets in the soil (iron) you may find it difficult at first. The gain is a signal boost to hear deeper targets. Manual ground balance for me is the only way to go and it is easy to do. More info later.

your right on about the threshold and silencer , the silencer seems to titen up the signal so its mor of a beep , see its not that difficult .
