short hunt today between the rain showers

not too productive, ground was frozen solid yet. Even though temp hit 48 degrees. Sad thing is it will be 30 degrees tommorow and more snow is coming.
I found 2 pennies and one dime, and a fake gold necklace. I thought the dime had to be silver it was 6 inches down, took me about 35 minutes to get out of the ground, I chipped away slowly but surely. How does a 1989 dime get down so far??

My heart skipped a beat when I found the necklace, too bad it is only junk and not gold. It was under some leaves at the base of a tree. Better luck next time!

35 minutes for 6 inches? I'll bet that frozen earth is a real knuckle buster. (if you can even feel your fingers) and all that for a clad dime...Oh well at least you got the fake bling, Hope you get some warmer weather soon man.
