Short hunt out back

~ACE~

New member
Went for a one hour hunt today and discovered the ground is thawing, but in patches. Got a bunch of solid targets, and in a digable range, but the Raven couldn't break through it. It was hard as a rock!! Moved over 50' and got a nice penny signal. Luckily, the Raven sliced right down to the 6" mark. Perfect! Popped the plug, expecting to see my first LC of 2013, but instead, was this little buckle. Just as cool as an LC! Kept on swinging and got another tone, penny signal, pinpointed larger than a penny at 6". Had to go home, but decided to dig it anyways, just out of curiosity. Found a little compact tin...it was in bad shape. I opened it, hoping there would be coins in it, but there wasn't. Instead it crumbled in my hand. Some of the pieces literally pulverized. Managed to get a company name tho. Blue Rose Lanchere. Found out its a make up compact, and got a definite date...1917!! Can't wait for the ground to thaw so I can go back and dig those really good silver signals!
