Seen a victorian era home yesterday where almost the entire yard was missing the sod! SCREEEEEEECH!!!! Knock Knock Knock! :) Sure go ahead, but so and so hunted the whole yard already! No problem! ZOOOOMMMM for home to get machine! OH NO!! Grandma is not home to watch the girls! I will try tomorrow! She said only if the landscapers are not here. So after a long day and only an hour of daylight left I decide to stop by and see if I can hunt till dark. Sure go ahead! OK!! Beep! 1919 wheat! He must have missed this one! :) Plenty more beeps and I was hunting fast to get all I could before those landscapers cover it up with new sod! End results, I would love to hunt any old site that the guy before me hunted!
Totals: 4 wheats 41, 41D, 45D, 19, 1956 silver quarter, 1903 indian head, no date buff, and two 1906 V nickels from the same hole! A first for me. A few doo-dads and a couple clad coins. I hope to stop again tomorrow, because I only did about 20% of it! Pics later someone has my camera! :)

Nothing like making the best of an opportunity! I missed two in the last couple of months...

One was an old farmhouse on a nice chunk of property in the middle of modern homes. I always wanted to stop by and ask about hunting it but just never got around to doing it. (don't get by there that often). One day I was driving by and it was gone. The foundations of a couple of houses were already in and it was fenced off (with no trespassing signs). Sad part is, I could see 3 huge piles of top soil near the back of all the property. I can only imagine what was there :)

The other was a park near my house. The day I was off (and went to the beach) they dug out a big section of grass to put in another tot lot. By the time I had a chance to go by there and take a look, they already had the cement work done...

HH!

You got some nice coins Mike!! Hope you get a chance to hit it again before they cover it with sod!!
