Short Hunt Finds Me More Places To Search

Well after about 10 days of rain, it was a picture perfect weekend here in Tennessee. Temps were in the mid 50's, but I had to work all day Saturday & Sunday. I did make it back home on Sunday to get out for about an hour before dark. I went into a small town that I have been finding a few CW bullets and door knocked at a new place. After talking to the owner about the hobby, he tells me that his family owns a lot of property in this little town, like both sides of Main Street, and I am welcome to hunt on all of it! That turned out to be the best find of the evening. I didn't end up with much time to hunt, so I focused on the front yard, and in just a 20' x 20' area found a bunch of clad, several Wheats and a 56 Rosie. After I found the silver dime, I walked over to my truck to put it in there and stepped right over the Dollar Bill that was in the ditch. Does anyone know about the 5 star pin? It was great to get out after all the rain we had and I'm excited about my new places to go. HH David

It sounds like you met the right person! That was a good start too!

I hope your hunting really pays off.

Glad you were able to get out. Hope you'll find a lot more good stuff this spring.
The pin looks like a Fifth Air Force emblem.

Mark you are spot on with the ID of the Fifth Air Force pin. Thanks for the info, I'm always happy to learn more about these types of finds.

That is Soooper, Dave!! lol. Really how exciting. I got permission to hunt at a 1901 built mansion and can't wait to hunt on it. Huge front yard. Should be interesting!!
