Well I had a bit of time to do some hunting this weekend, came up with a 1st for me. 1945 "S" nickel in an area that looks like it had just been hunted recently, I dug all three of the nickels and a few of the older pennies in that area but no silver. On a side note the 1945 nickel was hidden nicely under a pulltab that someone here in Portland had dug up discovered a pull tab and put the plug back over the top of without removing it. I pulled the tab and added it to my junk sack and rechecked the hole...and found ANOTHER pull tab or so I thought..and I almost didn't dig deeper to get it...I really am glad I did :clapping:. I left there and hit a ball park that I hit when I feel the need to dig some clad and dug up about $1.50 or so and hit a kids play ring (pot metal with enamel). It wasn't the 3 carat diamond that my wife was hoping for but its still kind of a fun :)ring:)

A "fun" ring for sure. It made me smile! That's great that you found your first war nickel. Congratulations!!! Makes me mad that someone doesn't pick up their garbage when detecting. Really mad! I wish I could come across that person and give them a piece of my mind. Thanks for doing the right thing Lucky. You got the reward with your silver nickel. ;) HH, Nancy

Great find in the war nickle . I agree with Nancy...You already have the hole dug...Why not pick up the trash and throw it away in a trashcan on your way home or at home for that matter. I guess some people are just LAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZY

Thank You Larry (IL). kind of like what I hear as a kid,if you don't have anything good to say, just listen

Haha I feel honored that my thread was graced with his presence...but I would have to agree with Larry. Feel free to move along to another website JMorgan if what you see here doesn't please you :chase:
