SHOP ANVIL = Short RR Rail Piece

rebms

New member
New member and learning tons from current and past posts on eqpt, etc. Gunnar's new digger is nice.

I have used a short piece (10") of Railroad Rail for years as a home shop anvil. Works like a champ and takes up very little room.

Easier to find than you think. Try local RR switch or repair yard. They will generally give you a short scrap section.

I found this one at a garage sale for about $1, made from a RR track, 9 inches long, 14 Lbs.

Heres My Anvil 57 Pound Hay Budden.
I Have 3 More I Will Try To Get Pics Tomorrow Got To Find The Camera Cord
Hope The Pic Works?
