Shoe box Eldorado

A few weeks ago I traded for a old shoe box Eldorado, havn't had the time to test it yet, was wondering if someone could tell me, if the ground balance was set right, if you were hunting in good dirt using the stock coil, how deep will this thing go on coins? I assume that this is a 64 dollar question, but I was just trying to get some sort of idea.
Thanks Greg

greg, the first original eldorado was one of the most popular detectors that tesoro ever made. it is a smooth operating machine and is great for relic hunting and coin hunting. it was replaced by the bandito which was a little hotter, but not as quiet as the eldorado. the eldorado will hold its own with though and is deep enough for any type of metal detecting. hh, bob n.

I also think the golden saber plus is a nice relic hunter although designed for coins/jewelry is has exceptional depth for a fixed ground balance machine. Although i hunt with a tejon, i have 2 of the golden saber plus`s. i had a golden u-max with added ground balance a couple of months ago & the plus will air test 2" more on a .58 cal minnie!!

I`ve been letting a friend use one of them until he can get a tejon as he has his whites for sale after using the gs :) & he found a super nice U.S. plate this past week with it.

I like them older tesoro`s.
