Shipping charges

I just read that the cost of shipping charges will be going up as of jan 1 from 25.00 to 35.00 with Fed ex, UPS, and USPS. Will the cost of metal detectors go up as well because of this?

What is the specific $25.00 charge for?

Mark

As far as I know no set charge has ever been in place. Other than the predetermined base rates set up for shipping areas.

Then added weight, distance from hub etc plays a role. Sometimes even an extra fuel charge has been in play..

I just read that it is suppose to be a 10.00 jump in shipping thats all. The 25.00 to 35.00 is just an example.

FedEx and UPS raised most domestic rates by 4.9% for 2015. I don't know about the post office.

So if you paid $20.00 to ship something before it would now cost $21.00....so an increase of a buck not ten.

UPS are blood suckers to their customers and their own workers so when I buy anything I pay extra to avoid UPS at home and at my company or I shop elsewhere,,, ever since the time just before Christmas they went on strike for more money and refused to deliver the packages they already had in their possession which were mostly kids Christmas presents purchased on-line,,, they refused to deliver those packages to get a faster contract which didn't happen till after the holidays which devastated many households ... I hope UPS goes completely under and their business reps and team leaders all end up homeless.

UPS has a horrible track record with damaging fragile items and not reimbursing the values or fighting it tooth and nail.

Fed Ex is a franchise if you have a decent guy serving your route its worth it,,, USPS they can charge what they want I never had a problem and will always go here.

UPS has sunk to the bottom of the barrel. I avoid them like the plague......overpriced and there customer service has gone so downhill it is worthless anymore.

Gas/fuel at an all time recent history low.. prices for shipping should drop.. milk prices should drop.. everything should correct.. BUT they want more profit! They paid the increase when fuel went up, lets just keep prices going up!
