General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Shipping a pinpointer??

Hey all, my uncle was interested in purchasing a pinpointer from Kellyco, we got it all set up in the cart, and noticed the shipping was $16..............

We then closed the page and ordered one right from the company who made the pointer and only paid $7.

Do all dealers gouge the buyer like this?
 
I've personally never paid shipping on my pinpointers, and I own 5. All were from either Ebay or sponsors/dealers on MDing boards. Frankly, I only use KellyCo for price comparisons or if that is the only place selling a partucular item.

Direct answer? No, it's seldom to find dealers without flexibility and free shipping almost always gets to be included. IMO, K-Co is suspect to add in shipping charges if you're not buying a $150 item. Even then, you just never know. So in a way, the answer is "yes" and "no." Our sponsored dealers on these detecting sites is the way to order. martin
 
I ordered a $200.00 coil from them and they charged right at $20.00 shipping, i sent a text and said i thought they had free shipping on orders over $100.00, THEY said only on detectors and quoted some other mumbo jumbo. Basically they told me TOUGH NOOGIES.
 
Yes, they are a forum sponsor but every other dealer here offers free shipping. At least all the ones I've dealt with do. You would think that with all the sales they do they'd offer free shipping. Just my opinion.

Does that make them immune to honest feedback :shrug:

Maybe they'll see feedback like this and say hey maybe we can do a little better by our customers. :shrug:
 
my point was that it sounded like one of the responses was telling you that you should always from one of the forum sponsors. i've never had any trouble ordering from kellyco. Proud Christian
