shiny coil, shiny quarter

Gandorf

New member
Just put my new 5.3 on and got silver within 30 minutes. This coil is so easy to use where I hunt. The VDI's and depth were spot on with the coins. I was able to run the rx at 10, am at 60 and disc at 75 with no problems at all. I dug a piece of copper just slightly larger than a quarter at 8.5 inches. The silver was at 4 inches. I think it would be wise for a newbie to learn on a small coil like this. It is much quieter and I can understand better what the detector is trying to tell me without all the noise of a larger loop.

Howdy Gandorf--

Yup. That 5.3 is a good little coil! You get good target separation, surprisingly good depth and pinpointing is a snap. When I first got mine, I re-hunted sites that I had previously hunted with larger coils and was amazed at what I had missed. Good job on your finds! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

Thank you. My plan is to do the same.
