She had the cutest little grin!

My little 4 year old that is! I took her for a bike ride to a local playground with her little metal detector and high hopes! After we got there she played a bit and while she wasn't looking I tossed a few coins here and there in the mulch. When she asked to use her detector I steered her to the hotspots and it was so cool to see her jump up and down and squeal when she found a coin! I didn't have my camera or Flip with me-can't believe I left those at home-but I don't think I'll ever forget her grins and excitement!

She'll have an ACE 150 ready for her if she gets interested enough. The little cheapo detector we had is one of the toy store specials, and very little just for munchkins..but I hope it was just enough to have her coming back!! :twodetecting:

Nice work. My dad used to that when I was little but without a metal detector. He would just say "let's go dig around for money" and he'd say try there or there and coins would magically appear! We thought he had special powers

I hope she gets into it! I already have the conduit bent up to shrink down the 150..it'll be ready when she is!

I'm thinking about that too based on some other feedback. I usually overthink my projects...lol..and overkill them as well! But a simple approach would be much better. I'll experiment this weekend with it...today is off to a hog hunt and tomorrow is dedicated to the pursuit of a cache I've been working on. BUT, it WILL be ready when she is!
