Sharp Shooter Ultra Mag

I am interested in the differences/similarities between the Sharp Shooter II and the Sharp Shooter Ultra Mag from Cabela's. I'd really like to get my hands on a spec sheet for the Ultra Mag. Any Ideas??
Thanks

Looks like a normal Sharp Shooter II to me in cammo...Anyone have one of these yet?
I posted the complete BH catalog in another thread on here...

Have not found specifications for the Ultra Mag though...

Great looking machine. One question I have is "whats up with the whole camo theme?" I mean as far as I can tell, I have never had to sneak up on any of the objects that I have detected. I also do not believe that I have ever flushed anything form its hiding place by tromping loudly through the woods. (just joking)

From what I've heard, from the few willing to come forward and expose themselves to the ridicule and shame perpetrated against them by the many jealous and envious hunters, "ya gotta sneak up on em..." (ahem)

The Ultra Mag is NOT a sharp Shooter II...the buttons are different...Not sure what the original sharp shooter looked like, but the Ultra Mag has no notch mode, and has the Ground trac button for the no motion all metals mode. I kinda like the looks of this machine. Looks promising.

Well, I'm just about to make my purchase... Would like to get some last thoughts on whether you (anyone) would prefer having manual notch or depth readout and why, if you could only have one or the other on an otherwise identical tool. It appears this is the only difference between the Sharp Shooter II and Ultra Mag.
Thanks for all the feedback. I've been perusing this forum most days and believe it has given me a basic theoretical understanding of the hobby. Getting anxious to cut my teeth on the real thing... where the rubber meets the road so to speak.

Personally, I would rather have the notch than the depth readout...I find the depth readout is only acurrate on coin sized objects, and it is not always correct...

I have a Sharp Shooter Ultra Mag. To be honest with you i have only had it out twice and found a horse shoe. But that was just practice. So now i'm ready. Ok the touchpad has these options all metal, ground trac, disc, auto notch. It has a discrimination notch and sensitivity. I like the looks and hopefully its performance.

The notch feature is like a moving door that shut out a portion of the spectrum while allowing all other items to pass...The auto notch notches out iron and most pull tabs automatically (You may pass up some good relics and gold items with this setting). By using the disc/notch knob, you can notch out other items as well.
If you can find one, I would get the Pioneer 505, which is a Wal-Mart brand Sharp Shooter II.

I just picked up the ultra mag from cabelas the other day. THe issue im having with it is according to the manual when you turn the machine on it is suposto go directly into the "no motion all metals mode", but instead when you turn it on it goes to the "motion all metal mode". Is anyone else have this issue with there's?????

In order for me to get mine into the "no motion mode" I have to press the "all metals" button. then ground trak to manually ground the machine. This is the exact opposite mode the machine is suposto start in. Im hoping that the manulal is just a little wrong and not my machine. can any one relate to my issue??????

I have a bounty hunter 505 and yes, it starts up in motion /all metal/discrimination so I assume the manual is wrong. By the way I feel the motion all metal default is correct because its easier to start from there
