Sharp 1890 V / Silver dimes and others

Well-known member
Finds are from the Saturday return trip from my parents farm my wife and I took and also from yesterday.
V nickels are 1890,1893,1906
Dimes are back to 1911.
I Also found a small Mexican coin with the loop soldered to it that is pretty neat.

My bad arm from a sandbagging injury years ago continues to bother me so my detecting will have to be more limited as I would rather not use a harness.
I really wish Minelab would come out with a lighter Etrac :)

wow, that V is in really nice shape and that coin made in to a button is a cool find. Congrat's on all of your nice finds...

FPD, you continue to tear it up. Congratulations on the great finds. Sorry to hear that you're ailing...might be a new medical term or condition--Metal detectors arm/shoulder (similar to tennis elbow). Hope you're able to get out some more before winter sets in...I would miss your posts.

Nice looking finds. Hope your able to heal up enough to get some more! Thanks for the pictures.

Nice looking finds ! Don't sell yourself short on trying the Minelab Pro Swing 45 harness. I had sore arm issues before and now I will not hunt without It ! Best of Luck!!

man I like those V's..... the rest ain't too shabby either!!!!! FPD.....I use that detector buddy (?) that cost like $25, you slip your left arm thru a padded loop and drape the strap over your neck/shoulder and it has a quick release clip that connects to the tector. Once you get into a routine and used to using it, it won't hardly slow you down one bit? It also is light, no way cumbersome and does the job well. If you don't like it.....I believe you could sell it easily.

Thanks for the comments guys!
I have tried the Pro Swing in the past and sent it back because I felt it was a little too bulky and restrictive.
I already have detecting buddy harness and have used it for larger coils.
After going without a harness for a solid year it would be tough for me to go back to using one as I am faster without one.

Very nice !
