Shallow scuba

New member
I'm sure his question will sound lame for experienced water hunters-so I will apologize in advance.
How close to shore do you search in scuba gear-or how shallow?

In fact I get so shallow, I looked behind me once and saw a coast guard boat. I went out closer to it and they had a harpoon gun ready. They told me they had a report of a beached whale in the water!!

I had to tell them that there are no whales in Lake St. Clair. They need to train coasties better!!

Not sure on lakes but I have a lot of customers who ocean shallow beach hunt and they are telling me they are putting there scuba gear on right there on the beach and hunting about 6 - 10 feet deep at low tide and are cleaning up on the florida coast.... by the way that was my free treasure tip of the day....lol
