Shaft lock. Loose

My lower rod is sliding upward on the 3030.
I was wondering if anyone has a way of fixing it.
Or is it covered under a warranty

Minelab repair fixed/replaced mine along with the whole shaft and a new display screen, battery gasket, inner cable, for around $300.
Like a new machine. They said some of the cost was on ML as it was a manufacturing fault.
Newer CTX’s have a better shaft mating means to the grey body so sand doesnt eat away at the shaft like it was on mine.
I was just putting dabs of crazy glue on the clamp contacts and it was working but had to redo after a few hunts.
Kudos to the repair center for quick turn around too.
New shaft had an end cap that told you when it was fully extended - old one I had to mark with a black marker.
