Shaft lock assembly

I've always had "average" mechanical intelligence, but I recently got a new shaft-lock assembly in the mail for my Silver uMax. No instructions, or anything included. It's the 3-piece jigsaw puzzle from hell....

Maybe the cost of printing instructions in multiple languages was more than the part.
