Shadow X-2 / Tesoro

Jim Robertson

Well-known member
Does anyone know which of the Tesoro detector coils that will work on the X-2? I know there are a couple models that are inter changeable. Thanks for your help. Jim

Silver Sabre µMAX and it uses all of the same search coils as the 'general purpose' Tesoro detectors (not the H.O.T. series), and Tesoro now refers to that search coil group as Epsilon coils. There s a vast array of search coils, past and present, that will work on the Shadow X2.

Hi Jim,

The Troy X-2 is the same detector as the Silver Sabre µMax only difference is it is black in color and has a coin check button. It takes the Epsilon (5 pin) series of coils listed on Tesoro's website. Did you get the Super Seven coil with it? Just curious as this coil is a highly sought coil.

The X2 is a nice older detector to have. I think you'll like it.

Thanks to all that replyed. Said I did get the & inch coil. This was used a couple times and put up so it is mint. I love the X-2 it is my second one. I think I will keep it. Thanks again everyone. Jim

I think if mr. Troy would join forces again with tesoro they could come up with a nice new Tesoro unit and split the proffits .

jmho.

I wish Troy had built the one he had on the drawing board many years ago. He is one smart man. But it takes a lot of money from start to finish.
