Hello,

I will receive my v3i on Monday and have been pouring over the manual and watching vids. I was wondering if anyone could help out a bit...my brain is getting numb trying to read some of this stuff.

The way I usually hunt on my machines is basically to have one tone for iron and another tone for everything else with nothing discrimed out. Which program best reflects that on the v3i or can I modify to get that way?

I was going to run coin and jewelry with mixed mode BUT in the manual it says that mode allows most coins to be detected which tells me there is some discrim going on..

Thx and will appreciate any help!!

Any program can be set as you want as you stated. You can also accept all 191 VDI, then set the tone you want for ferrous and your non ferrous to any tone you like. If you ever want to reject a VDI set that tone to zero tone. I set +95 to a zero tone.
