I'm hunting a construction area that is gonna be covered with cement fast so please respond with any ideas as soon as possible. This dirt is like hard black clay; tightly packed with a mixture of volcanic like rock on top. It has been covered with pavement & cement since 1909. The area I'm at is right beside where the trolley ran. All I'm getting is iron; no coins, tokens, or anything good. I'm not getting any good steady readings. Is it because the ground is so packed? I'm hunting in iron mask @ -7. All other areas I hunt I usually have a field day. Any suggestions? I'm really stumped. The ground is dry.
