Settings For Parks

So, I have set up mine with Goes4Ever settings for regular parks.
My question is Recovery Deep and Recover Fast ....On or OFF? ....Does it really matter?

And, if all good silver signals charge in around 01-17 in Ferrous and from 43-48 Conductive.....and you have Quick Mask;
then why not block out everything from 17 and over Ferrous and over 48 on Conductive?
(And, let us say we are not interested in nickels, gold jewelery, or indians).

If you block out everything 17 and over you miss the deep stuff, yesterday at a old park I got a solid 27 ferrous and a bouncy 40 to 46 conductive, had that silver sound and the depth meter was bottomed out, I dug the merc out at a foot deep.

If you want to cherry pick for just silver just edit out the entire screen and then get the silver coins you want to find push the accept button and run them under your coil then save this program. If you have a X-1 probe it makes this much easier. Now you may miss a few but when you get a signal it will be a good one. HH :minelab:

This method will ensure that you only find shallow or isolated coins, which ANY detector can find.

I agree, I prefer a much more Open screen and let my ears tell me when to dig

I will agree that this method is not the best but it is for cherry picking. If coins are 8 inches or less this works fine but mostly clad coins will be found. Coilfisher did not say how old the parks were he was hunting. For older parks or where there is a chance for SILVER coins GFE's program has been very good for me. The E-Trac is very versatile in setting up what works in different places but usually the least amount of discrimination and as much sensitivity you can get by with will find more stuff. I find coins all the time with a ferous reading of 20+ especially if they are on edge. You'll also notice that even silver coins can read lower on the conductive numbers because of the way they're laying and depth. If you want to descrim everything out I'd keep 34+ on conductive and 26- on ferous and look for repeatable signals.
