Settings for military stuff for F75

damiano

New member
Hello,
1.Can you help me with set the parameters for searching military stuff from first and second world war (including iron stuff) ??
2.Which settings you use with good effects ??
3.Static without discrimination in areas with small amounts of iron pieces,shrapnels or dynamic with disc mode is better for more trashy areas ??

Thanks for advices.

and just dig any ID above 40.....that should work well. Or even disc mode but disc on zero for a turbo boost :)
Or you can use disc mode, with disc on 40 to cancel most iron trash other than large items.
Where are you from? Are you digging WWII stuff in Europe??
HH,
Bill

@Bill Ladd
Thanks for advice - i'm from Europe.
I dig more stuff from WWI and less WWII but occasionally do.
Difficult is in that thing that shrapnel's balls gives bouncing signal with unsure conf meter about VID 43,45,50,51 and in that area could find some other valuable stuff like.
I'm very curious what settings for stat mode or motion/stat mode could be helpfull for deepest diging.

I know using Motion mode I will Fast grab a Ground Balance setting. Then add 2 values to the fast grab ground balance setting in manual ground balance mode. I usually set my thresehold -2 to cut down on the noise when using motion mode. Run my sensitivity usually around 80-85 sometimes higher depending on soil conditions. As far as what to dig I would dig lots of signals if I started finding WWI and WWII items. Back then i bet they made alot of things out of iron right. Good luck on finding things. If you find a sweet helmet or rifle post some pictures of the items.

@zaxfire69
Thanks for advices.
I dig on sites where Austro-Hungarian army and Carish Russia fighted in early phase WWI. When i find something interesting i'll post some photos.
Do you dig only repetitious strong,stable signals or also weak, bouncing ??

I will dig most signals. I coin shoot alot. I will dig a weak unusual signal for sure. If it registers I will dig it. I have found that some signals that I would skip i would stop and dig them just to see if it is anything and it ends up being gold or a coin. I am still learning this machine. Most of the things I have found lately have been in the 5 to 6 inch range. Those objects give off a loud tone. I have no choice but to dig them. I am heading back to a site today that gave me the wheats and the gold ring a week ago. I am going to dig in Delta pitch. Might switch to All motion metal. The ground is wet so digging will be easy. Getting my new Lesche digger in today so I will try it oug this evening. I will post what i find for you.

I will wait for your finds with curious.
I have question about speed of sweeping the coil in All metal motion mode - its should be normal or fast or slow ?? I know that's is'nt accuray description because for every people that's words means another thing.
Please give me some clues about AM mode.

It all depends on what you are looking for.
Deep? Use AMM or the STAT for deep targets that only give a audible indication.

Do you want to be picky? Use discrimination and pick yer poison.

The deep can be found with no discrimination, and extreme deep is so deep that you may not get an ID.

It sounds like most "dig it all".

Just go out there and work it! If you want States' war lead bullets, practice at home with some lead sinkers. Try JE, Disc 6 and no notch. The real targets will likely have an oxidation bloom that makes them stand out real good. The CW hunters are loving the F75 but you hear little because it is a competitive sport. If I detect behind another group that cannot detect as deep as I can, I let them run. They don't even know what they are missing, so they think I am wasting my time.
You will know better how to answer the question after a few dirty knees. You might want a better shovel instead of a garden scoop.
Don't mess with bombs that are intact or UEO's.

Good luck
SJ
