Settings for iron trash

I have been hunting a really bad site and have spent
the last few days trying different settings.
I have come up with this don't laugh now, I know nobody
really likes Audio 2 and 3 that much but it did help.
The settings are:
Fast on
audio 2
sounds conduct
threshold tone 5
variability 7
limits 7
gain 5
The discrim pattern I was useing is
regular jewlery pattern then go to edit screen
and useing the medium curser with accept on make one swipe from top to bottom at about where iron mask
10 would be. the sounds I am useing is conduct
but ferrous can be used too and might even be a better choice. I found three coins in about
15 min after useing these settings ware I had found
one in the last week useing the normal audio.
the thing i noted most was that the iron blips
that sound like coins arent as bother some because
the coins sound a longer drawn out tone more like the
sovereign only in an explorer sort of way.
I am not saying these are the best settings
but try them and see if they help.

I think you have some good ideas. I use Audio 1, 2, 3 with ferrous and the programs I posted trying to enhance the sounds in heavy trash and they help.

This is just to repeat what I told earlier in November. Well known that FAST setting cut off deep and iffy signals. So it may be be correct to use AUDIO 1 + FAST in this case as compensation and get DEEP machine with FAST recovery in IRON. Theoretically sounds great. HH

Good suggestion. I try different combination of Auido Gain, Sensitivity, Audio1,2,3, FAST/DEEP trying to see what provides the clearest indications of a good target. The only problem I have with DEEP ON is I get a lot of those little tic sounds on surface and shallow trash.
I was thinking the other day of the importance of each of use taking some different sizes of iron and other metals to establish the settings that work best for our ground and our senses. It is interesting how the soil matrix will skew the readings for a coin. I find copper coins at 3/28 in some soil but at 5/28 or even 6/28 in other soil. It skews to the left and some Indian Heads all the way to 31/31 and then to 1/31 jumping back and forth between the two readings. Other than this I don't see a lot of coins that are really skewed way to the left but then I have been working with patterns and not going after all targets.
Have a good day,
HH, Cody
