Setting up the F75 SE LTD for prospecting ????

For gold prospecting how would you set up the Fisher F75 SE LTD LIMITED?? I have one coming real soon and would like to do some prospecting for gold & nuggets. We live in a pretty good area here in Northern Ca. in the sierra foothills and not far from the Marshall gold discovery site and a lot of good streams and creek beds especially in the summer when a lot of them dry up. Any help and suggestions appreciated. Thanks
