set treshold-level

Hello Leny,

There are very explicit instructions for this on page #59 of the E-Trac instruction manual.
I already changed mine to a lower volume, as I wanted to hear more of the targets.
I can still hear the threshold level as it keeps me aware of whether I'm in sweep or pinpoint mode.
That's important when switching from the coil to the Sunray probe.
When the threshold blanks, that indicates there is a target below, which you may or may not hear
depending on your discrimination pattern.

I hope this helps.

Respectfully,

The Nutty Teacher

When you say, when the threshold blanks, there is a target below, did you mean that when the threshold blanks, there is a undesired target underneath the coil?

That is correct. When the threshold blanks (goes quiet) your on a target that you have discriminated out on your pattern.

Have any of you had the threshold go silent when bumping the coil into a grass clump or other object and then return immediatly afterwards?
