SERIAL NUMBERS

Carolina Jack

New member
Where is the serial numbers on my new E-TRAC? Trying to register my detector but the numbers ive found says it is not in their data base. help.

The numbers are on the head and on the coil the stickers say Warranty Void If Removed, those are the numbers you need.

Peel it off and put it on the box again. It just has to be on it if you sent it in for warranty. I don't know why the retailer would take it off and put it on your reciept you may ask them. Tried to PM you but couldn't because you are still too "new" to get or send PM.

that must be the dumbest thing i have ever seen a 2 cent sticker that falls off if you breathe on it and if its removed the warranty is void? it falls off when you look at it pretty sad i think.

surely they can do better than that?

I never heard of one that just came off it has to be peeled off, mine is going on its third season and still very much intact have not heard of one coming off from my many friends that use E-Tracs. I would believe if you had proper documentation it would not be a real problem, remember a few years ago an Asian com were making knockoffs of Minelab products so maybe this was a way of telling the genuine article...who knows!

Mine NEVER had a "void if removed" sticker. I had to look at my warranty card to find the serial number. I bought mine back in 2009.

mine is only few months old has had a cover on the whole time and is lifting on the corner and will come off no 2 ways about it. for mine its cheap and nasty.

why dont they engrave it on to the control box for a machine costing so much?

i am going to do what the other poster said and take it off and put it on the box it came in safer there.

The box already has the serial number on it, put it in an envelope along with your reciept and store it in a safe place.
