Serial Number Question........

The serial number on my Spectra V3 inside the battery cover, does not match the serial number under the registration information when you put your name and contact information into the unit. Has anyone else noticed that on their Spectra V3, or does your numbers match....................

What you see is correct they are different.

If I recall correctly, when I registered mine, I used the number in the battery cover. I heard or read that the battery cover number was the one to use for registration purpose.
I hope I got that right

Yes, you were correct in using the s/n in the battery compartment. I am not sure what the number is that appears on the start-up screen of the V3, which is directly underneath the version, it maybe a line of software/version code, like html code - this is NOT the serial number of your unit.

However, if you register your unit online, use the serial number located on the sticker inside the battery compartment. This is the serial number for your unit, the s/n number inside the battery compartment should match the serial number on the actual warranty card. I hope this clears up any confusion.

I posted this elsewhere on the forum, but I asked White's factory about the two numbers. The one on the sticker inside the battery compartment door is the REAL serial number.
