Went to the same lake I found the 1939 class ring yesterday. One reason is becase I dropped a small silver bracelet tht I found. I though I would find it again. No such luck. I did fid 2 more silver dimes, a silver ring and a silver religeous medal.
After that dive I was driving to another lake that is right by there and I spotted another NEW lake with a small swimming area!!!
I saw a person cutting his grass and I got out of my car and talked to him. He gave me the green light to go play!!! Nobody is in the water this time a year and I didn't waste any time!! I thought I would just snorkel and see what was in the lake but I decided to put my gear on just in case somebody else hit the shallows and I would go out deeper. GLAD I DID!!
The shallow water had a few coins and then there was this dropoff. Ad by that I really mean dropoff. I went down to 25' and it was still going down. I was told after it goes down to 132' . Too cold for me down there!!
I was getting coin signals on the dropoff very regularly. One coin signal suprized me to say the least. I was fanning for it since this dropoff is all sand and A gold chain emerged. I grabbed it and kept digging for the coin. I picked up a penny and now a medium high signal was still there. I fanned some more and this large gold ring emerged!! I picked it up and saw this beautiful red stone on top. Put it in my pouch and kept detecting. Lots and lots of coins. Two Zippo lighters a Craftsman wrench and some assorted junk including 2 sets of keys later I picked up ANOTHER CLASS RING!! Why do the like me???? Anyway put it in my pouch and detected a while longer. Just a few more coins and another silver ring.
I spent a third of a tank there and so I detected for about an hour. I am going back this weekend and clean it out some more. I didn't get below the swim platform that is out there. Should be more treasures lurking around there somewhere!!
Anyway, the mans ring is 14K. I do not know if the ruby is real. The chain is 14K. The class ring is 10K from 1967. 2 silver rings a merc, rosey and silver religeous medal were my major finds. It was a good day.
Today I am VERY excited. I am going back to the lake I picked up the 14 rings in last Sunday. I have 5 full tanks instead of snorkeling and having to go up and down, up and down in 6 - 8' of water!!! I will be able to lay on the bottom and really concentrate on it. I really have high expectations.
More pictures tonight!!
