How do i test the ground to set Sensitivity on my SE-Pro??? Manual or Semi auto, Is Manual better???? Thanks Mickfin
 
Des Dunne did a vid on this mickfin, which i found to be very helpful. even though i set mine at 26 semi auto. i hope this helps. chris

Lots of debate on the BETTER part when it comes to sensitivity. Many have shown there may be advantages to auto at lower sensitivity say 20 and below. Also auto runs smooth period. If you want to live on the fringe... manual is the way to go. My testing has shown me auto has an exact cut off where as manual tends to attempt to recognize the target... if it sees it, it tries to ID it. The location and amount of trash plays a big part as to which you might want to use. Gain will also play into it.

if you are new to explorer use automatic sens. 25 but I use exceptionally manual in heavy iron can be 5-10 in clean spots 18-25. dont scare use lower sens. explorers is very deep even with lower sens. make test with buried coins and test it with manual or auto sens--or do this in the field on target changing from manual to auto.
