i recently bought a cz3d,i already own a cz6a,ive noticed on the cz3d that i cant turn the sensetivity up to about 5 without getting chatter or false readings.on my cz6a i can turn it all the way up even under power lines and still not have any false readings or chatter.anyone else had this problem or have a solution to this problem, thanks tonybigman.:(

There is no solution...it's more sensitive. You have the same thing with the CZ-70...turn the sensitivity above 4 and it falses. It's not a problem, as you're getting 95% of our depth at sensitivity 4. Set it at 4 and leave it there.

Why do they have settings above 4 then, you ask? In rare cases you can run above 4 in ID mode. depending on ground and surroundings. But in Autotune mode you can usually run it higher...even all the way. And some people like to hunt in that mode and you may get a touch more depth out of it, but not much. I've dug coins at nearly a foot deep in sens 4 on my CZ-70 and bullets and other objects that deep or more. Try it and you'll see.

thanks for the info,i thought maybe my machine was not right,by the way i guess we are neighbors i live in nc near raleigh, again thanks for the help.

Just the nature of the beast and do expect superior depth even at 4 or 5...For a technical answer contact Fisher...First time I took out my CZ70 thought it was malfunctioning as I was used to older CZ's...
