Senior Citizen Strikes Back

This is probably not a true story but its one my cousin sent me and here is hopeing it has some truth to it.

A college freshman was overheard at a football game explaining to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation.
"You grew up in a world, actually an almost primitive one," the student said, which was loud enough for those around to hear.
"The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, men walking on the moon and our spaceships have visited Mars and other planets. We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers and DSL, light speed processing and," the student took a pause here and the senior citizen took advantage of the break in the students litany and said, "Your're right son. We didn't have those things when we were young....... So we invented them. Now you arrogant little piece of s..., what are you doing for the next generation?"

Finally being told by your kids that you were right about something. You spend half your life trying to tell your kids things that will make life simpler for them and feel like you're bashing your head against a brick wall. It's a pity that it takes so long (from about their 10th birthday to the 30th) for that first thing you told them to turn out to be right. The best part of it is that after that first realization, they finally start to come to you for advice (whether they follow it or not is another thing.)
Sheila.
