Sending into Tesoro Golden Umax

I had spoked to vince on Friday and he explained how this works.I first make a note explain that I want to change my Golden umax from the old tones to the new
tones. He told me to send him the 9x8 inch coil and the control box into him. Then he told me to send my name, and address so they know who it belong to.
Then he told me how this works, the first $50.00 goes to Tesoro explaning what the person wants done and so Tesoro can get started working on the detector
and the second $50.00 goes to Tesoro for the cost of changing the tones.I just thought I would put this out here for anyone wanting to know how this works. On
the other hand if you are the original owner of the Golden umax it might only cost you $50.00,because I am the second owner of mine and this why it is costing
me more.If you want to do this with your Golden umax call and ask for vince first at Tesoro...

WOW. Vince is really out of touch. Tesoro quit doing that shortly after the new tone Golden came out. I know as I tried to do it a year after the new tone Golden was released. Rusty wanted to help me but couldn't, because they couldn't do it.

too much.

I was told the same thing when I called Tesoro this spring.
Vince said they could change the tones for a $100.00 plus shipping...
Wondered about that Mike...

Cheers, Bob

Why would you want to change the tones. I prefer the original tone configuration, it keeps them in the proper conductive order.

Tesoro just changed tones on someone umax i know just a couple months ago.

Probably a Cibola or Vaquero change from low to high or high back to low tone.
They were always able to do this easily...changing all the Golden tones was a while different story.

Yeah- everyone's dissatisfaction was over the fact that they no longer had info/parts on the tones. I believe the loss of the Golden was part of Tesoro's downward plunge. Crafty Golden users had just found a way to adjust the newer tone change model to place some aluminum trash in the iron tone segment and were having increased luck in trashy areas. Just a month or two after everyone got excited about having one in their arsenal, the news came they were being discontinued!! I kicked myself for waiting too long.
