Sending a F-75 in??

Hey guys. I've had my F-75 for over a year now and haven't had many problems with it. It's one of the first ones on the market and of course don't have any of the upgrades or updates. I was hunting Saturday and we were out early after it had rained. Well my unit didn't get wet but with the humidity, the display screen fogged up on the inside. I couldn't even see the display after a while. The machine still worked but I had to go by audio. So I'm thinking of sending it in for the seal update if nothing else. Do you guys think it's worth sending in for the update? What all are they doing with them now and how do you go about sending one in? How long of a turn around time?

I've only had to send one machine in (ID Excel) but Fisher has changed big time since then. Who is Felix that you referred to? Now if I understand their website, I need to call a Fisher "service center" first before sending my machine to be updated, is that right? My nearest one is shown as Tracker Electronics in Mt. Juliet, TN.

Hey Daniel,
My CZ 3 D went to Texas and Felix was the man I called and got an authorization to return the unit.
I called 915-225-0333. The Fisher repair email is service@fisherlab.com
My detector was gone about 10 days and came back great. The biggest surprise was shipping
costs. Shipping and insurance is about 30 or 35 depending on what value you place on the unit.
Good luck but I would get it done before the weather gets any better. Felix's last name is Calvillo.

HH, Don

Just got my F75 back from Felix. HE IS THE MAN. Mine had some connector issues so i sent it in. Was gone about 12 or so days and came back in tip top shape. Took it out in the yard just to test run it and boy the small coil is awesome. I called, recieved an RA number, sent it in and it returned back with a letter and a fixed detector. A+++ service. Great communication as well. I shipped UPS and had about 1500 dollars insurance on it. Cost me $25.00 using "The Brown Truck"....:)
