sell the minelab and use the Tesoro or vice versa?

Hi all,

Thank you all of entering in your collective knowledge here in the forum, it has been great to read up on what others have learned.

Well this should be a different type of question than normal....

I have a Minelab Sovereign xs-2a Pro and a Tesoro Eruo Sabre I bought both when I was searching in forest and / or farm land. Now I am in Miami, I am interested in running over the Beach or maybe a park with the detector. I am not interested in storing both machines so it has to be one or the other. From what I read many use the Minelab on the beach, but the Tesoro is so lightweight that would be a great advantage. The Euro also has this Iron switch thing that could be great to have to weed out some of the garbage...

Any thought as to which one should end up on ebay?

Hi Elton,

Thank you for the "vote" I am tending toward the same, seems like many people prefer the Minelab on the beach also. I guess that it was a dumb question as the Minelab is certainly the better machine, I was just tempted because the Tesoro is so wonderfully light. I can through the brains of the minelab over my should though as I also have one of those bags for it.

The Tesoro is therefore going to get sold. Anyone have an idea what it is worth here in the USA? I bought both in Germany.

The Sovereign will hunt the wet sand. That is what sets it apart from many other detectors. If you intend to beach hunt the choice is obvious. But I have a Deus for the same reason you want to keep the Tesoro. If you have the detecting bug as bad as many on here do a light detector will come in handy once in a while.
