Just Joined the Excal crowd.
Just ordered the 12 x 10 SEF coil from Kco they have 2 left. I have a Excal with a 800 BBS coil, I will use the connectors recommended on this forum are the wires the same color as the BBS coil?
 
Check the Coil sticky thread at the top of the forum. There are thread links to the color codes for the SEFs, as well as thread links to various waterproof coil connectors for the Excal.

I found the 15x12 and even the 12x10 is too much drag for my tastes in the water. If I like what I see from the S-12 12.5" Sun Ray then I'll throw that on my water shaft to replace my 10" Tornado for more coverage/depth in the water. The squarish shape of the SEFs don't slide through the water as fast as I care for without more effort than the 10" Tornado.
