SEF coil for XLT

Member
I think I found a way to use many different coils other than whats available for the XLT. I was told that the bounty hunters use the same frequency and that there were adapters available so you could use them interchangeably with Whites 6.59khz. If this is so, then why not use the many new coils available to the BH's as well as the Fisher F2-4's? If those adapters are no longer available, it wouldn't be to hard to put a XLT plug on say a Fisher F2 12x10 SEF coil? it wouldn't cost more than $10-$15 to have it done? What do you guys think?

Heck I know alot of guys talk about it on other forums in the past about swapping fisher coils for use with whites coils before the big DD coil transition started. I also know there are adapters out there already. You might want to bring this up in the detectors modification thread. Let me know how it goes for you because I got a Quantum XT I would consider tinkering with on coils. Tim
